My Inner Transformation

I found Sahaja Yoga entirely by chance, when in 1986 I noticed an ad for a public program of Sahaja Yoga. “Come, the Mother Calls, it said”. I went along to the program, and since then my life has changed slowly and imperceptibly. Following the program, there was a follow up program for a week, after which there were tri-weekly meetings. I went along to all them as I realized that Sahaja Yoga at the very least was about self purification, and the very highest was about manifesting the Divine in us.

That was when I started to notice some changes in me. For one, my knee pain vanished, as did my breathing problems. My father and my grandmother, both got cured of asthma that they had been suffering from for more than 25 and 45 years respectively. I got a wonderful job, and the best of all, SY showed me how all the religions of the world are really united. It showed how the difference among the great religions of the world were entirely man made – they were all really parts of one whole. And thus all the people of the world belong to one great family, and there were a great many people out there who were living like this in reality!

Through the experience of a very subtle energy called ‘vibrations’, I got to know with a certainty, about the existence of God (whatever be the name He/She is known by), and this filled me with a profound sense of gratitude, security and peacefulness. The greatest joy is when a seeker desperate to know the Truth about life, gets his realization and finds his doubts being answered and settles down to a life of purity, tranquility, satisfaction, harmony and compassion.

When I see this transformation taking place in thousands all over the world among people from the most varied backgrounds - race, religion or languages - I know that Shri Mataji, is the One promised by all the great prophets and incarnations. She is The World Saviour, The Mother, who has come to nurture a tortured humanity with Love, and save it from itself. She is the one who is fufilling the promises made by Jesus, Buddha, Mohammed, Krishna, etc. Through Her love, She not only cures a troubled humanity of its diseases and sufferings, but also promotes mutual understanding and harmony as the individual discovers a source of tremendous beauty and love deep within himself.

Sahaja Yoga has made my life beautiful. Thank You Shri Mataji!
